$55.00

Bringing you a fusion of crystal magic with western charm, all of our bolo ties are made of genuine leather and are adjustable up to 34” around. The stainless steel leverback mechanism on the back side flips up so you can easily slide your bolo tie on and off, and then is flipped down to “lock” it into place at the desired length. This bolo tie features antiqued Silver-Plated aiguillettes and a genuine piece of polished, orbicular Jasper measuring 1.5” tall.

Orbicular jasper scientifically forms through a process called spherulitic crystallization, where mineral-rich fluids permeate volcanic rock like rhyolite or tuff. This causes mineral compounds, often silica and iron oxides, to deposit in a radial, spherical pattern around a central point, forming the characteristic "orbs" seen in polished stones. This formation process is a result of silicification, where the host rock is replaced by silica-rich fluids. Nucleation is the term for the very beginnings of the crystallization process occurring in a liquid or vapor. The term volatile references the silica that precipitates (water vapor and carbon dioxide) from cooling magma from lava flows. In short, Ocean Jasper is a Rhyolitic igneous rock that is rich in silica. (Source: LittleLemuria.com)
